Meet the Author
Doris A. Rogers, out of obedience to God, has decided to pick up her pen and write. Her books, The Little Bird's Song and Journeying Through Roadblocks to My Destiny, are the results of that obedience. In both her books and poetry, she details her experiences with pain and suffering, sexual abuse and healing, and self-growth and transformation.
She lives in Milwaukee, WI, with her husband. She has four children, and has been blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren that fill her life with joy each day.
Doris notes that one of the most profound things that has happened to her is falling in love with Jesus.
Mama Rogers, as I call her, has penned a beautifully written book about pain, abuse, healing, and self-growth, and the aftermath of totally trusting God. I was inspired and moved by her testimony and highly recommend this book. I absolutely commend her for sharing her story.
The allegorical style of prose was interesting.This is truly a work inspired and directed by Holy Spirit. Though allegorical the transparency was evident. This was an elegantly written book full of compassionate and hope.

This book is dedicated to the silent suffers from childhood sexual abuse, molestation, and other forms of verbal and physical abuse that traumatized the bodies and souls of far too many. This is for the ones with wet hearts and dry eyes. They cry, but no one sees their tears.
